Breaking monster's parts...

Hello, I want to ask how you break the parts of monsters... I have cut down a lot of wyvern tails back in MH 1, but here I've read that you can break parts of the crabs, and even the kut ku ears???

So can I break some kut ku part? And what/how can I break off of the crabs?? By this moment, I have just met the jungle/desert crab, that which has the monoblos skull on its back (tough motherfucker for my crappy equipment).

You could explain what parts are breakable and how, it would be nice

for the zazami, monoblos crab, you can only break is monoblos skull (2 times), but only with a blunt weapon like Hammer (that's mostly all...)

for kut ku just have to smash his head into to step. For the first part it will protect his ear buy lower it. then just have smash once more to explode his ears. but every time I tried I killed him before succeding smashing his ear

Then for most other monster, 3 part are breakable, with nothing special to do. Only tails need slashing weapon, like sword or great sword, but arrows too, to be cut

Same happens to me with kut ku... pity I can't break the gizami skull but, cant you break the claws too? or is it just the other crab, zazami?

gizami is the blue giant crab, zazami is the red one. Zazami has skull and claws to be break. on gizami, you can break every thing, and It have 3different shape for skull. Gizami can be break with every type of weapon

Zazami is pretty weak againest the hammer, if you have learnt his movements well. Bother the claws can be broken for additional rewards, a side not on breaking it's monoblos shell, breaking it gives you a cjhance to get a rare red horn that can be obtained from breaking a monoblos horn(the shell i after from that of a monoblos!). I would not suggest you to try to break kutku ears for the extra rewards though. he drops them(ear) more oftenly then showing up as rewards after a successful hunt. not to mention the lack of challenge and even less the use for the ears(unless you really needed fire duals early).
