| In Dos/F2/p/U/P2G I remember finding them on the lil platform of area 6 in the snowy mountains and at some weird looking plant between the exits to 5 and 3 of Area 4 at the volcano stage.... the portable version all have farms to help you replicate your find. Good luck if you're in DOS though.
edit: lol forgot to say that it's in the volcanos

| I don't mean it in a bad way, I have not played Dos over I believe 4~5 years now and do not remember much of it. sorry I sorta missed out in my last post it's found in the jungle area, zone 4 and 10. That assuming my guess of the item required is correct. | |

| I'll have to admit if it's the Shogun, it would prove a little tough using a GS to fight. Since you have already beaten the Khushal I take it you have enough experience and should have your meds and such prepared.
If you're sticking to the GS, it would help for you to know that staying in one place and spamming your horizontal/upswings/etc would prove futile as the Shogun try to use it's many turn attacks on you.
One strategy I took on with slower weapons to aim for it's legs 1st, Since the GS sports good raw damage over all go guerrilla. Draw slash without charging and roll right through it's legs. Keep at it and use this motion to circle it as much as you can, many times this crab would simply try to turn into getting aligned to you, giving you time to either block or roll. With enough damage, you can trip it and exact even more punishment on it's face, pincers or shell.
When it seems like it gave up turning and tries to simply swipe at you when you're at the sides, try to roll into it angled to it's back. That should mostly spare you from getting hit, but take care not to just try going for it's back as it can easily snap around. You would want to give it some distance and be a little more conservative for your offense when it's in rage should you be using a GS, be reminded as well it's maybe fine to block when you cannot get away. The Shogun can easily deplete your stamina used for blocking and break through your defenses.
As you are considering using a powerhouse weapon, do not be overly concern with rushing your attacks. Only when you take out it's legs would it be safe to spam attacks or GS charge. However if you had already knocked on a given body part enough, occasionally going for GS charging might actually trip or stagger the shogun.
A plus with the shogun is that any kinda of weapon can break it's shell, in doing so you can get an additional reward for it on top of forcing it to retreat. Note that you can break the same shell twice before it burrows away, be sure to have it painted to save yourself time looking for it.
Usually the Shogun's pincers are only extended when it's in rage mode, however note that if you break one of it, the other is permanently extended. Only by breaking both would you get a reward for it.
Some weakness you can take note of: The shogun is mostly weak to lightning with increased effect on it's mouth(head).
It's legs actually carry different damage tolerance, as such the right legs(on your left when facing it) is slightly weaker so you can expect it to trip faster if you worked on those sets of legs 1st.
Poison actually works very well on the shogun although after several successful poisoning it can be a little harder to poison the shogun.
It is actually pretty easy to stun the Shogun, though only possible with hammers, you can take not of this should you ever consider switching to hammers. Mega smashing or triple pounding when you tripped the shogun would give you results.
You can start new threads if you're asking about things besides materials you are seeking, as such is the main direction of this current thread. go ahead and start new threads if it's a separate question and I'll address it to the best of my abilities. | |

| Well, I can only advise here. Be proud of yourself here, with or without help you beat that monster and no one else can actually claim credit to that kill besides yourself. | |

| If it's a food item, my guess is you buy it from the fat lady at the bottom left of the town. If you have cleared the urgent for the ships to set sail, there's more items in her inventory when teh ship comes into port(honey etc). | |
