It's an option but note that the gypceros armour sports a negative modifier for fire damage... it's not as useful since many monsters deal fire damage..try to maintain a list of skills the armours offer instead, work on skills you want to use and try combinations of different sets to garner good effects!
Solid full sts are not as common, if you rather gp for the look, try to 1st make a full upgraded hermituar set then work for either the garuga or rathain/rathalos sets, if you'v been doing your quests at the old lady, you should see them show up already.
another noteworthy set is the tigrex set, go to youtube and search for videos to guide you through fighting one if you feel that it is challenging.
