Plesioth Quest

Hello

I'm in need of plesi parts for my red bubbles and also I think that I need to kill it in order to get to volcano so...

Do you have a strategy??

And, some other questions... please answer them, they're easy
- Where the hell do I get the FROGS?????
- Is it still weak against thunder?? (Finally got my EAGER CLEAVERRR yeahhh)
- What's a good armor against him? I have Battle Armor (some parts are S, some just 2 or 3 upgrades)...

You can find frogs by searching at the rock located between the exits to area 7 and 8 IN area 3 of the jungle area(1st hunting zone available)

There's a few ways to get it out of the water, one would be to use a sonic bomb(he's immune when in rage), inflicting damage of anysort when it's swimming about(anything ranged obviously) or giving it posion.

As mentioned using poison gets him out of water (it irritates it when it takes poison damage), using a PBA might actually make your fights shorter if you can keep him poisoned.

Then again sonic bombs are the most straightforward tools to bringing him back to land. Regular plesioth is just as weak versus fire as it were versus lightning so besides fire weapons, bombs can also help in your fights.

A thing to note on it's habits and attacks is that it has a tendency to try to (BUMP) you when you're on his right so keeping to his left forces it to either try to turn to face you, swipe with it's tail or just run. It mostly uses it's water spray attack when you're infront of it, that can be used to your advantage as the animation for this attack is quite long.

If you think your armour is weak, just use weapons with block, blocking will mostly keep you from dieing. Any high DEF armour is good, if the water attacks bother you at all, add water resistance to your choice for armour.

No, I mean that he is both weak versus fire and lightning. bring plenty of frogs and try to fish it out of the water to give your self more time to hack at it as it flips while trying to get up after being fished.

Is the item needed for the blacksmith red bubble obtainable via the fin subquest reward? I obtained the item for the fat guy red bubble doing just that subquest...

I have my Eager Cleaver and will bring bombs and frogs, so it should not be a long fight... I just hope that my armor is enough powerful... I have less than 110 total defense, but I plan on upgrading a bit more or just moving to the complete Khezu set.

today i reached plesioth but i didnt fight him.

im planning to get the poison axe is it good or death bite is better ??

I'm a little lost with your question, are you taking about the items for making a Mast? I think you're ok so as long as you take time to observe the fish. eagle cleaver is fishbane!

I'm not really familiar with english names of each weapons, perhapes Kamui or someone else has some wisdom to share on this.

the poison axe is an SnS with 224 damage and 390 posion power

the death bite is an SnS with 210 damage and 290 pralyzing power.

the dif is really only how you like to deal with the fish. I downed it with a PBA.

Actually, I have mostly played MH2dos on the PS2. I had played mhf a bit but as it was after clearing most things offline in dos, I have little interest to carry on playing. I have a copy of mh1 but just can't seem to sit down to play the game without falling asleep.

Well, I can't play MH1 these days as I cannot concentrate on the game when I'm very tired of it. Also I've got Wow recently and that took up most of my time!. I'm hanging around mostly because I hope to see a later release of MH in english and hope I have enough enthusiam to play again.I even bought MHP2 and tried playing.

Oz, my question was, that I have a red bubble quest from the blacksmith little woman and she asks for a plesioth part. The plesioth quest has a subquest that (I think) consists of breaking his backbone or fin, so, can I obtain that item as reward (I think it's not a scale), by completing only that subquest and going back to town??

What is a Mast????

Anyway, last nite I killed Kushal and now, with a little more money, I can make the bracers, for example, so I get pretty more Def
Oh, where do I mine/get dragonite ore??? The rare green ore needed for Kushal leg part of armor.

First : u need a good armor his def more than 120

Second : u need this items with u :

- potions
- herbs
- mega potion ( if u have )
- 10 sonic bombs
- 10 frogs
- pitfall trap
- 2 traptool
- 2 nets
- 5 gunpowder
- 5 screamers

Notice: the Gunpowder and screamers for more sonicbombs.

Third: Have any SnS with effect .


The strategy:

use your sonicbombs he will get out of water .
attack him on his head when he use his water attack.
when he want to return to the water see where he stop before he jump.
Now put a pitfall trap where he stop . u will catch him next time .

use this strategy again and again .

after 30 min he wil die..

That ore should be Dragonite Ore. Once you complete the two Nana-Teskatory repel quests, a third quest should pop up in the Tower zone. There are, I believe, four places that give you an 18% chance at Dragonite Ore there.

Ohhh, and when does that Nana appear?? Can't I get it from volcano or from basarios/gravios???? Grrrrr.....
