Recommendation of an early Fire element weapon?

Hello,

been playing MH2 for a good month now whenever I get days off of work, and really enjoying the game. However, there are many weapons and armors in the game, and it's difficult to keep track of everything. I'm searching for a Fire element weapon. My goal is to use it to break DoDoBrango's fangs in order to make the Frost Edge+. Then use the Frost Edge+ to slay Diablos (which I haven't been able to accomplish yet). So far I have a Barbaroi Blade [GreatSword], but am not satisfied with it's sharpness. I also just made a Gatling Lance [lance], but it takes far too long to slay DDBrango due to my lack of lance experience, and the two times I did slay him with it, I couldn't break the fangs. Currently, I'm trying to make KutKu Duals, but having a difficult time getting a KK Ear. Well, a nightmare actually. I spent a good chunk of yesterday breaking his ears with my Emerald Spear, only to get rewarded with KutKu Scales x3 (lol). Is there any other fire-based weapon I may have missed that DOESN'T require Rathalos parts? (not available yet) Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry to tell you that except Barbaroi, Red Wing (with rathalos), there's only online GS/Katana that exists...

The only other way would be to create crossbow with fire bullet

or maybe with large barrel bomb...

edit: if you can't smash his fang, you could try to exchange with old dude to get the rare thing you did ( that's what I do when I need a bloody rare thing)
