I certainly hope so, but the DS would be a major hurdle for me, since I had no intention to buy the set just to play alone.

From what I heard they plan to release it for the PS Vita and not the ds.

It's quite the other way round actually, except there really isn't any mention for Vita just yet. Pretty sure you can goggle that but here's the official site for it

As for "rumors" of a port to Vita or localization, as of now, has yet been confirmed by any official source so don't believe what you read about when you come across game websites claiming some unknown source, if there's anything Capcom has to say about it, they will announce it.
