what the diffent betwen ancient stone and rust stone?? can tell me the acient stone upgrade list and stat( for alll weapon) and Rust stone updrade list and stat ( for all weapon)



im playing Mh2 Dos(chinse version) after im kill the crisom fatalis there is no white fatalis quest.....

Well, I'm not a pro, but I can help you a little. Rust stones are the special weapons available from the first monster hunter game, and ancient stones are weapons from the online mode in here, Monster Hunter Dos (or in your case, your hacked version xD). The thing is that rust weapons are very good, but ancient weapons are awesome. I don't know the ancient weapon list since I can't find them offline, but I have all of the rust stones, so I think that can be a start.

Rusted Small Stone: Rusted Sword -> Polished Sword -> Eternal Strife
-> Odyssey

Eternal Strife stats: Green sharpness, 168 attack power, Dragon Element 630, Affinity 0%
Note: a very easy to make weapon. Also, it's the only one rusted weapon that using the dragon blood and earth cristals doesn't give you a weapon with negative affinity.

Odissey stats: Green sharpness, 196 attack power, 300 water element, affinity 0%, 1 slot for gems.

Note: a very good weapon. The downside is that it takes a Rathian Plate to make, so it can be very hard to get your hands on it.

Rusted Plate Stone: Rusted Greatsword -> Rusted Greatsword+ -> Ancient Blade
-> Steel Ice Blade -> Steel Ice Fang+

Ancient Blade stats: Grenn sharpness, 864 attack power, 100 Dragon Element, -20% Affinity

Steel Ice Blade stats: Green sharpness (little), 672 attack power, 200 Ice Element, 0% affinity

Note: doesn't look like that great of a weapon, but it can be upgraded in the Steel Ice Fang+ (if it's not the right name, blame the one who patched my game, not me xD).

Steel Ice Fang+: Green sharpness (better than S.I.B), 720 attack power, 240 Ice Element, 0% affinity.

Note: A good ice element weapon. Just to point that if you want to make it, you and Kushala Daora will become best friends.

Rusted Large Stone: Rusted Hammer -> Rusted Hammer+ -> Breath Core
-> Jadeite Mace -> Jade Mace

Breath Core stats: Green sharpness (little), 936 attack power, -20% affinity

Jadeite Mace stats: Green sharpness (little), 728 attack power, 260 Fire Element, 0% affinity.

Note: I don't know how fire is supose to come from jade, or why the weapon is green when you use only Lunastra's materials. But anyway, it's a good fire elemental weapon and can be upgraded. And a little advice: if you want to create this one, I recommend create it with the Legendary Crafstman, since upgrading it from the rusted hammers take 3 Luna's Horns and Shells and 7 FREAKIN FIRESTONES, instead of 2 Luna's Horns, 3 Luna's Shells and only 1 Firestone from the little geezer.

Jade Mace: Green sharpness (a little more than Jadeite), 780 attack power, 300 Fire Element, 0% affinity, 1 slot for gems

Rusted Rod Stone: Rusted Lance -> Rusted Lance+ -> Undertaker
-> Ice Lance -> Ice Lance+

Undertaker stats: Green sharpness, 414 attack power, -20% affinity

Note: don't really know if recommend having this weapon. I think that in newer games it has a rotating animation, but I think that in this one doesn't have it ):

Ice Lance stats: Green sharpness (barely), 345 attack power, 240 Ice Element, Defense+6, 0% affinity, 1 slot for gems

Note: a well rounded weapon, except for the sharpness. Upgrading it is very recommendable.

Ice Lance+ stats: Green sharpness (better that I.L.), 391 attack power, 260 Ice Element, Defense+8, 0% affinity, 1 slot for gems

Note: a very good lance, but again, you'll become best friends with Kushy, because you'll need 4 claws for making it.

Rust Stone: Musket (light bowgun... or rather, light shotgun? :3)

Musket stats: Max attack: 168 (Mod level 5), Reload: Slow, Recoil: Fair, 0% affinity, can use variable scope, silencer and long barrel.

Useable bullets: Normal S: 6 LV1, 6 LV2, 9 LV3
Pierce S: 3 LV1
Pellet S: 4 LV1
Crag S: 3 LV1, 3 LV2, 3 LV3
Clust S: 3 LV1, 3 LV2, 3 LV3
Recover S: 3 LV2
Poison S: 1 LV2
Paralisis S: 1 LV2
Sleep S: 1 LV2
Flame S: 3
Water S: N/A
Thunder S: N/A
Freeze S: N/A
Dragon S: N/A
Tranq S: 2
Paint S: 2
Demon S: 1
Armor S: 1

Note: a good light bowgun if you like to blow things up. Too bad it doesn't use more elemental shots or Pierce/ Pellet shots. Otherwise, it would be almost perfect (but hey, it's a freaking shotgun. When did you ever saw a machine gun-shotgun, or a shotgun that shoots water? xD).

That's all the rusted weapon knowledge I have. If there is an upgrade that I didn't point or there is an alternative weapon with those stones, it will be more likely because they are online-only stuff.

at the MH i ply(Monster hunter 2 dos chinse version) im cant find SnS Acient Stone..do u have any idea where to find it??? Btw thx for the info

Well, for Ancient Stones I don't know, but the Lao-Shan Lung gives you Rusted stones as a normal reward, so maybe now that you have unlocked the online things you can get the ancient stones from the normal or azure Lao (If you can actually fight him, I don't remember if he was in the online Dos. Besides, you'll only need to repel him, since you get the stones from the reward screen, not from carvings). And in case that you can't get them that way... well, it's just buy Mega Pickaxes and chip away every spot for them (in the desert you can get rust stones, mayority hammers, and in the volcano you can get all kinds of rusted stones, so try those two areas first when looking for the A.S.) And don't mencion it, it's a pleasure to help ^^

It's likely hunter X will have a better selection then the limitations set by offline content.
The general Idea for acquiring Rust stone weapons I believe you have already read about in the other thread. Just spend some time farming easy collection, Powder stone runs in High ranked Volcano quests. The method has be tried and tested for several versions now and is the sure fire way to netting "ancient stones" if I remember you call them that in Dos at all.

Sure i can kill him at MOnster Hunter i ply just dont have him quest....acuatly 2 quest, one is Giant Crab @_@(im dont know him name) and one is white fatalis.... Sad...realy2 want to kick that 2boss ass

If you can get a psp, it's probably a better way to face those bosses.

Nope. The PSP connects with other players through Wifi, which the PS2 doesn't have.

All the PSP users tend to use their PS3 to play MH with other people around the world though. They say it's MUCH easier than getting people to assemble together to play through Ad-Hoc. The only complaint I've heard is that it tends to lag a bit if the people are too far away. E.g. Some one in Australia playing with someone in the UK.

I wish someone would ask more about MH games on the PSP. I feel useless. Dx

Here's another question for you: you need to pay a monthly fee to play online in... I think it was MHF2 the last one for PSP in English, right? Because I'm planning on buying a PSP just to play MH games, so I was wondering if it's free the USA servers, like it was with MH1 ^^

Nope, beside the PC version, Monster hunter "frontier"(also on Xbox), all monster hunter plays free. For PSP versions, you will need a Wifi adaptor and use a computer program on your PC called X-link Kai. The program allows you to connect to other players with a similar setup to play like they're next to you with their PSP.

Tri currently has online for free, the concept is similar minus some weapons, a new gun system, a new weapon and pretty much a whole new lineup of monsters. Only the Diablos and Rathalos made it into the series but they are much smarter then in previous releases. The game is still easier in my perception and add to the fact you get to play online free means you can play online as much as you like and get to team up with many others to battle the same monsters, making life generally easier.

MH3 Tri only on Wii and Psp?? or Wii ,psp,ps3

Well, I think that Tri is only on Wii, but I might be mistaken. The one for PSP and think that also for PS3 (or they are developing that part) is MHP3rd

Well, I'll try to get involved as little as posible so oz won't kill me, but it's not hard to find. Just search in google for the japanese version (or the japanese patched version), download the .iso like with any other game and burn it into a dvd.
