Challenge Factor Empty
PostSubject: Challenge Factor   Challenge Factor EmptySat Aug 08, 2009 8:13 pm

I just realized this but as I was watching some MH3 vids, (All of you should know by now that I am extremely siked for this game.), I realized the enhanced difficulty they were adding.

Now, think about MHF. What was the first Boss you ever fought? $5 says ether Giadrome or Velocidrome(For you, original Freedom players.) Now, take a good look at the new dromes.

I caught a sneak at the mission list, and the dromes were where they should usually be, early in the begining.

Now, watch some battle videos.

Compare a Velocidrome to a Dosujagii.

See a difference? No? Let me help you.

Dromes had about only 3 moves, disincluding Lodrome. And that's only if you count their prey call a move. Basically though, it was claw attack, jump attack, prey call. It was pretty simple, all they proved to be was annoying.

Now, pay clsoe attention to Dosujagii. His moves? Double tail swipe, hipcheck/slam, claw, charge, and jagii call.

Now, cna you imagine going on a quest to fight a toughter monster, and a dosujagii appears? Not fun.

What I'm saying is, they did a major redo with the dromes. Instead of teh annoying nuisances, they're now full blown boss monsters.

Which would make me a very delighted customer.

JG probably didn't mention, in MHFO, armour skills can stack up to around 10 different skills from armour alone. Suppose if we had such repetoire and godly weapons, giving us mere pawns would largely discredit the the line of Monster hunter series.

I'll offer anyone who wants to not have a challenge to play RPGs, as the leveling process may at some point remove the challenge of the game.
The monster hunter I know is a game the challenges the players to learn and conquer the game, therein lies the true fun factor of Monster hunter and makes it stand out from all those games you and I have played.

In honesty, I don't mind the extra challange.

I do not however want to fight a Dosujagii during a MH3 FH quest.
