I'm kinda betting it to have moderate sharpness or a variety for the different parts you use to make em as with other weapons. Since it already omited the blocking ability I doubt the weapon's gonna be as horrible as your fear it, or it's sharpness to be.
You might be right on the creation requirements though, though IMO it might just be needing some parts not easily available in the earlier phase of the game( eg fire sns in MHF2).

well, I'l be getting my copy by saturday(my bas-turd of a friend bought his but didn't get one for me) as it was sold out. a minor correct to previous though, I'm not getting the regular copies which are still available, but the package with a "classic" ps2ish analogue controller.

It seems to have shorter range than a Gunlance shot. (I'm talking about regular, not spread or long.)

Personally, it just looks like a blade coating. Kinda like a A Supah-special-magically-uber-weapon-powah-up. I think it was only meant to add a little 'PIZZAZ' in a combo. Nothing like a gunlance.

Besides, Boom Boom Sparkly Shot is a nice name till we find out the real name of that move. Maybe its Blade Fire or something. xDD

i think Boom Boom Sparkly Shot will sound better than what the real name is tbh
