I'm officially pissed off

I started up my PSP, went to MHFU and started playing. As it loaded it got stuck on the Capcom sign. Now every time I load it up, it just starts making clicking noises and stays at the Capcom sign. Help?

your PSP firmware version might be outdated.

Go to the main menu of the PSP. Go over to the game section and below MHFU there should be an update item. The item should be called "PSP Update ver 5.03"

i would say dodgy umd or psp :S
could you try it in somebody elses psp ?

I need to turn in my PSP on it's warranty. Turns out it's UMD player is a bit crappy.

I went to Gamestop and showed them the problem. They gave me a new copy of MHFU. I put it in and the same problem occurred.

Ok mine sorta did the same thing except the UMD drive was messed up because i droped it. I ended up fixing it and saved myself $150- $90 because the reading eye was messed up. What you need to do is open the UMD drive. You should see the UMD rotating part,the eye SHOULD be next to that. Mine was over to the side. I took a paper clip and bend it into a small right angle and shove it under the whole eye piece(should be at the very end and DON'T TOUCH THE EYE) and move the whole piece back into place.
