Yamatsukami help!

I have a very big problem with Yama, no matter how many guides I watch on youtube. I try, but I think he's just too much for me.

I got three of my buddies to slash the living crap out of him with longswords. While I end up dying three times and ruining it for everyone. So after many times, I stood in the area just before Yama while my friends killed him.

I know we've killed him, but is there a sure shot way of soloing him?
I need Yama stuff for my Dragonwood 'God Slayer' and I can't keep calling my friends over for that.

Any help is gratefully accepted.

BTW, what happened to pyro?Haven't seen him in a while...

My favourite way of taking down this.. thing :S is just like this video.. HBG + freeze S/Pierce and Speedfire Skill.. can take him in under 10 mins.. be warned the recoil on pierce ammo with speedfire is pretty bad.. If you don't have Ucamulbas HBG then the Crab guns should be sufficient substitutes.
Two simple speedfire sets are Brown Blangonga Gunner or the Death Stench S Gunner set.. also try to gem in survival skill.

I can get the Uca HBG but the problem is its negative affinity. Any good ranger armor with Reckless Abandon +3?

Also, any way to evade his attacks without getting hit?

you can simply "duck" by crouching to avoid it's spinning attack, back up to the sides when it keels and blows out fire, the rest of the attack can either be evaded or blocked, save the sucking attack, which I think best be avoided by running along while it turns or simply just jump off the sides.


add, SoC has the armour lists, but as i remember you'll better get some mixing for better skill setups.

The group in the video all had negative affinity on their guns it actually helped to stagger him more.

Well, I used the full Diablos Z armor, which gives you Reckless Abandon+3, earplugs, and reloading +1. Except for earplug, you'll need the other skills. That got rid of the negative affinity on the Uca bowgun and loading faster can save your life. Just bring all the shots the Uca bowgun can load and fire away. With luck, you should be able to kill him.

IMO, I think any good HBG with high attack and a wide range of bullets can take him down.

I've killed him 6 times already and I finally got my Dragonwood 'God Slayer'! \(^_^)/

BTW, you need MH2ndG for this armor. But seeing that you can get the Uca HBG,(You can get it right?) then I figure your playing MH2ndG.
