I think I saw this link within a users signature in gamefaqs forums for Mh2. I play Mh2 dos and MHF. I suppose if I find some like minded players I may tell them of thsi forum as a area to hang out.

| Hello, I'm new to the forum and new to MH2. I found the site by doing a google search for 'Dodobrango fang' (lol). I need one and was hoping to find an image or something to help me figure out what a broken fang LOOKS like on DDB's face. I watched a video on YouTube dedicated to just this (the player used a Gunhammer prototype), but I couldn't see any difference. I started video taping my quests just in case anything interesting or unusual happened, and before I knew it I created my own YouTube account and made a MH2 video (lol). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6U8IAivI20I'm pretty happy to have found this place, and I look forward to checking it every time I get to play the game. Nice to meet you. | |

| I watch your video, what do you use to capture it? cause the quality is really good!
What's your equipment, you still use kut ku tasset?! Gizami armour is really good to create and easy to upgrade (you should do it before fighting Teo)

| I used a good old fashion VCR, and Windows Movie Maker. The quality would be better if I had the remote control to the VCR in order to change the recording speed quality.
I wanted to make a full Rathian set for the sound protection skill, but cannot for the life of me get another Rathian Spike to drop no matter how many times I try, so I've been stuck with the KK tasset still. I appreciate your advice on the Gizami armor and I will definately try to begin that as soon as possible.
As far as weapons go, so far I've managed to create: FIRE: Barbaroi Blade [GS] Gatling Lance+ [lance] WATER: Emerald Spear [lance] ICE: Frost Edge [SnS] THUNDER: Eager Cleaver [tachi] Frightbane [SnS] POISON: Deadly Battleaxe [SnS] STUN: Deathprize [SnS] NO ELEMENT: Bull Tusk Hammer [hammer] Bone Katana (dragon) [tachi] Iron Gunlance+ [GL] Bone Scythe+ [dual] Heart Shot Bow I [bow] Power Hunter Bow I [bow]
A lot of the 'no element' weapons are a work in progress. I either don't have the parts to upgrade them, or am not sure which path to take yet. I read that the SnS is really overpowered in this game, so I would ultimately like to have a SnS for every element.

I remember that pink Rathians have a better drop rate on their tail carves, you can go cut off all the pink's tails aand see if you can get a spike easier! My fave with SnS is the PBA, it's good for most fights other then Yian Garuga since the little prick is totally immune to poison.

| Got to play a bit more, and I have even more weapons now (lol). I noticed that I didn't have a large Plesioth on my kill list, and that's what you need to have (along with an extra large) in order for the catfish man to give you the Anchor Hammer. The Anchor Hammer has been on my most wanted list since I first read about it. I jumped into a Jungle zone battle with Green Plesioth and got a large one. I slew it with my Frightbane SnS, and guess what? A blue bubble appeared on Mr.Catfish and I got my Anchor Hammer at long last. I quickly upgraded it to the Anchor Crusher. This is the weapon I wanted to fight the rock wyverns with until I got a dragon element, and I'll be doing it soon. Also, finally broke DDB's fang with the Gatling Lance+, after a lot of patience and well timed shots. It's hard to notice in-battle if it's actually broken, but when I slew him, I could see it clearly and was overjoyed. I got the fang and upgraded the Frost Edge to a Frost Edge+. This is the weapon I wanted to fight Diablos, so I'm well on my way. Kamui, I took your advice and made a Gizami set and upgraded it. Now I have a choice of S or U pieces, and I can't decide yet. They require Dragonite Ore, and since I don't have access to that, I'm not worried about making the wrong choice at this time. The extra defence it helping a lot. Thanks. Oz78, thanks for the tip on the Pink Rathian drop rate. I'll have to check that out when I get to play again. I've recorded all the battles to video, and will take the more interesting parts and upload them soon. (same format as before) Hope no one minds seeing Gizami again (lol). Again, thanks for all the help. It makes enjoying the game a lot easier. | |
