| Weapons make good compliment to skill, perhap it's the better skill that made rathalos cakewalk. | |

| Actually, I have some suspicion as with the perfomance of some hammers.
We all know that the weapon sharpness, damage and element affinity plays a big role as to whether this weapon in question will be useful for the fight which you would bring it. What I was thinking now however is that each weapon had a hidden sharpness effec value that is not shown.
Ever noticed that some weapon kept bouncing(don't tell me to use ESPhere I'm comparing weapons) while some do not seem so affected by the same issue? it's not obvious if you're always say, mega smashing with a hammer, but the real damage comes out if you're triple pounding.

| Yeah triple pound is useless without esp against even the easiest of threats... The fact you can't triple pound all the time even with maximum sharpness is that hammers would be too overpowered. I understand what your saying even then hammers are extremely capable you just have to hit the softer flesh.. i can't explain what im trying to say properly lol | |

| I get wha you're trying to say JG, there's "tough" hide monster and "soft hide" monsters, even within their individual ranks there's say a weaker spot on each of them. like heads for most elderdragons etc(Just an example) What i would mean to compare in my last post is not quite the "soft spots" of each monster, ather it's more of my own thinking that some weapons harbour a hiddne sharpness effect value, not actually denoted by the colours of the sharpness. (example) Tigrex LS has green/blue sharpness range, rathalos firesword too. but at green firesword bounces on say azure rathalos, yet for tigrex, it would still go in(/example)
This is what I mean.. not all keen on hunting these days but I'll have a better break down after some testing.

| this is confusing but it all goes back on where you hit there monster "the monster its self" every monster has diffrent armours and healths and every wepon has diffrent specltiys
like lances dont bouce 2 much cuz there a ppericing weapon some katanas and great swords bounce alot though espcily GS

| You have more chance bounceing on the scales then the flesh. For example, the underbelly(?), inside of the legs, the chest and the neck of an akantor can be sliced with a weapon with green sharpness while it would bounce on the scales. | |

exactly not what I was pointing at, I mean to look into the individual Weapon sharpness effeciency, not the weak points which i already widely discussed.

| i don't think theres an effect just that whatever your sharpness or weapon type some monsters can't be hit on some parts, IMO that's why a white sharpness weapon bounces. | |
