Lil help plz?

um ya im kinda newish ummm im at the 4th lvl cheif quest and i kinda want a kutku bowII only problem being... i cant kill a rathalos.. iv tried everythign!! iv used bows lances gs ls sns everything it wont freakin die!! iv even tried the rathian(its harder..) HELP!!!!!!!!

if you go into the 2** guild quests heres a easy rathalos there practise on him

bring lots of flash bombs and learn his moves

use what ever weapon your most confortable with

tigrex long sword is a good one for the los (I cant kill then either, but the sword seems a good deal)

Normally when facing something new, I would spend a few missions to observe how it moves and test out different weapons with it. While this seemed insignificant at first, it is vital for any hunter to know how the target monster behaves.

My suggestion is to go with the weapon you're more accustomed to. 1st thing in the order would be to find where your monster starts in, it's not so random that you'll have to run around alot at all.

My usual approach would be to circle the monster and observe how it attacks.

A tip on Kutkus, bombs, sonic bombs stun it while it's not in rage. Crag shots has a similar effect but it's not so chap or numerous.

yeah. With the bigger ones you just have to move in with your weapon sheathed from different directions.
It should bring a response and you should be able to dodge it.
Just learn its style.

ya a moinsters weak points are also vital to assoon as you know what your up against
rathalos are weak on their head and part breaking comes later but breaking monster parts can cut its range for elder dragons it stops there power

yeah. heads are great if you get an opening. If they fall over hit their head and when you can you must cut off their tails. With the rathalos it stops his annoying poison tail swoop thing.

well see im not used to it but i tried a bone horn against it and i got it down far enough to where it was spiting fire out its mouth.. for most monsters iv faced that means its almost dead so um ya i just need to time my shots better and hope it works i guess.... i can smash its head in but it charges at me when i do and for some reason the fucking thing always 1 shot kills me.. makes me realy realy mad!! and i have no idea how im gana get its tail because i have to use traps just to hit is and when it breaks out of them im screwd but um ya thx for you help ppl..

jg thats the 1 i cant kill.... um btw pyro i cant kill a freakin tigerx i found a quest that 3:4 times it has a tigerx its a lvl 1 cheif quest i cant take that thing down even with a horn.. pain in the ass that mofo is FAST!!

@Pyro, it's swoop attack from the air(wihile it hovers) deal poison damage regardless of it's tail. It's not a big deal since you can plug that attack just by going under it when ever it takes off but I thought I should set you straight on this.

@Khezuslayer, that tigrex is a introduction to it on the MHF2 as it's new in this version. Also, while your effort to use new weapons is admirable, you should get a solid idea of a single weapon application should you wish to learn to kill any monster.. Rathalos's screams are frequent and annoying so weapons that can block can very easily eliminate this problem.

Sorry about the tail thing. Just wishful thinking I spose (that poison move got me half dead as soon as I met him).

plus Khezuslayer with the tigrex get a good thunder weapon and only attack when it is very safe to (sits there and bites at air, or in a trap) it takes a while but its worth it.

nah i can dodge the freakin swooping poisin thing iv figured out wat it does right befor it swoops at you so i just do leap of faith and i dont get tuched or just run in large circles and pray i dont get hit.. i know that when a monster has its element comeing from its mouth its weak and i can get it there fast till it flys away and goes to eat a damn fish or 2.. man i hate area nine but that and area 6 are the areas it goes to most.. i have to put meat out for the damn thing to come.. makes me MAD AS HELL... but see my horn does damage sorta fast ish untill i run out of traps and flashbombs.. then im fucked btw wats easy way to get ice crystels or how eva u spell it im trying to get a iron katana and upgrade it to have element i have a ls its the shark bone katana i think but ya oh 1 more thing where can i get easy but good armour (preferably with auto tracker) it helps to find monsters fast.. ya thx

ok well i found the short way to get an iron katana sure it takes a lil bit of money but u can start with bustersword and go from there gets there same speed ummmmmm ohya i tried GS and HH yesterday got it to limp with HH but then it went rage mode and slaughterd me=| painful.. but ya im geting better i can break its horns off easy now i just need the right weapon to break his fucking FACE off and kill him ima try to get bone horn+ only thing is i need to know where to get monster bone+s?? any advice would be nice btw do any of u live in northcaralina?? im open for partner quest if any of u can..

you get monster bone plus at G rank most stuff with a plus is only obtainable in G-rank missions

and ull be able to kill them soon your getting closer

an easy way is if you can kill the urgent tigrex. Then on the new set hunt the remobra one. monster bone+ is a reward.

i have iron katana grace now ..... how long till i can get it to have diff element atribs?? hmmmmmm ummm i need to know where to get mechalite ores easy because im kinda short on them and i almost have a decent GS and wats a g rank quest????? i need armour quick and easy to but i want to keep auto tracker cuz it makes everything ALOT easyer to find..

oh i forgot to ask any tips on wat wep i can use to pwn monoblos that kushala daora thing and shogun centar i can get it low hp but the mofo keeps running away and then i get screwd up=| i still cant kill 2 kutku at once i try 1 then the other comes it drives me nuts!!! oh and that stupid yian garuga thingy its a pain in the mofo ass man all the other quest for lvl 4 im done with its just the wyverns and that stupid centar thing...

right. If you continue to gospel. You have two choices. Eager cleaver (245 attack, 240 thunder) or the saber (720 attack, 350 fire but it needs some killer resources).
Or if you go dark scythe you then get crimson scythe (624 attack, 120 fire, not sure what of these you might not have).
Machalite comes best from pokke farm of the volcanoes. (treyna can help too)
Monoblos is best killed with the ravager blade (or + if you can). Aim for the tail and horn for extra carves.
I cant kill kushala but poison is said to be good.
Shogun is killed quite easily by thunder and when he rages just keep out of his way.
2 Kut ku's are best taken with the poison battleaxe (I think. Poison them and you are kept fast).
You dont have to kill the garuga, but a word. It goes around traps.
I hope this helped. I would personally go down the eager cleaver route. (cos for tigrex upgrade it to devil slicer and he will drop a lot faster. weak to thunder)

yeah if your having trouble with that many monsters yah listen to pyro you need a good sword or weapon the raveger blade its easy to make and easily one of the best GS

just worry about making a good weapon for now to get machelite ore go to the pokke farm use the mine do a gathering quest and repeat and do it till you can make ravager blade or upgrade it its worth it

this will get you alot of metals iron ore, earth crystal, machelite ore

yeah. Just keep doing good ish quests whilst you get the ores you want. Two advantages. Get what you want AND LOTS of money by the end

u know wat sucks.... i just found a second quest from the elder with another fucking centar in it and the first 1 was a pain cuz it always ran and ate got stronger and killed me... anoying mofo basterd well fuck u i kicked ur face in so HA!! well see i kinda want that scyth cuz it looks fucking ass awsome and im kinda emo so ya but ima keep with gosple so im gana need about 10 more mechalite ores iv been trying to get 15 for about 3 days doing gathering in all areas .. not very good results im gana try the jungle it seems best for 2 reasons 1i dont freeze my ass off cuz im to cheep to buy hot pots and 2 it has 3+mining spots so ima try to find more though thx for ur help guys..
