Troublesome Pair

Urgent Quest > I just finished this the first time I tried with LUCK!!!

I first slayed Rathalos, he always leaves after some hits and that consumed much of my time leaving Rathian 15min to go to slay him.

Rathalos > trap + 2 tranq bombs
Rathian > slayed

question, their movements are similar. im using the Devil Slicer
but they just ran towards me and that's annoying because they hit me most of the time, and they recover very fast from the time they ran and tumble.

what can i change in terms of attack stratedy?

run in the direction from where they are turning from, they'll miss you by a lot more since you're going to their side from which they turn from.

My suggestions for this is...

If G-ranked, you will start in a random area, if ypur lucky straight in the nest with the rathian, kill that first if you didnt start in area 5(tips for killing)

Hammer(preferably onslaught hammer)
1.paintball it
2. if hammer flash bomb and triple pound and keep doing until dead/when its gets into rage start to super pound it trying to still flash bomb it.
3.Then go for rathalos

Greatsword(preferably one with blue(at least green)sharpness and attack 800+))
1.paintball it
2.if great sword flash bomb it, chop off its tail and keep hitting head (only in flash bomb)
3.then go for rathalos

Dual sword, dont use this...

lance(dragonrider spear if possible, one with 400+ attack and blue or green sharpness)
1. no need to flash bomb just headlock
2.its dead do same with rathalos but flashbomb.

And if it works congratulations!!! looks like christmas came early

This one is old Slayer, and I've done that quest with dual swords.

I would imagine astinos on 2 or 3 star G ranked quests, saying this high guildhall quests are no longer an issue.
