I wear full velociprey and use an iron katana thing. It took ages to kill, but I did it.
Just dodge, get behind, attack. Or hang back and wait for him to fall over or reveal himself

i used a long sword, bone katana "wolf" its simple..especially if you have traps..i took a shock trap,took the shock trap from the box and a pitfall...along with some materials for it, i go for it when it dives. when it runs at you jumps in the air then lands on its stomach. you should go for its head but i went for his sides(was too slow to reach head) also when h e slashes at you(he slashes twice then flips over) same thing
