Feel free to post findings, interesting points you find concerning weapons and armour creation you come across or any queries you may have concerning weapons/armours. I sure anyone tha steps in will have a thing or two to share! Just try to stay on topic so that the exchange here don't stray too far from the intended subject.

On quests that require you to mine quarts ore or powderstone. Bring Old, Iron, and Mega picks...then keep mining the point, drop the ores and it becomes an infinite mining point. Just make sure you don't break all your picks.

Most of the items you can mine dont even get used untill you are hr5-6 anyway...

I found something called ruststone...
My friend told me that you can make weapons straight away with it?
is this true and if so...how?

Give it to the guy at the weapon shop.
Depending on the type of stone depends on the weapon it makes.
I dont think it normally gives a good weapon but its worth a try

i just did and i made a rusted sword
i upgraded it and now i have a ledgendary blade, the next upgration its COOL, low raw power but awesome sharpness and dragon element

remember to save and reattempt till you get a rusted weapon.. anythings else wastes your ruststone

Seriously, can you get a good LS from it?

You can't get a rusted long sword, dual swords, gunlance, hunters horn, heavy bow gun and bow

Oh, well I may as well get the rusted SNS instead

i know 2 things you can get weapons from...

ancient stone: eternal sicisms (upgraded to max)
rust stone: eternal strife(upgraded to max(its my weapon))

i heard you can get them from lao or g ranked gathering volcano quests

they are strong because, the dragon attrib. is 630(i think), which is perfect for taking down fatalis' and rathalos'

lol you might wanna quote the weapon type.. also, mos ancient stone weapons took a nerf in MHP2G... ES is not as powerful as before.. actually some had downgrades in MHF2 too.

They're still stronge tho but most of them can turn in to ice weapons by mix Kushala Doara to the sword, others you add Taostra or Lunastra for fire. That bunch are the strongest of the ancients.
