The expansion to Monster Hunter Portable 2...

THIS IS FOR CUSTOM FIRMWARE ONLY

MHP2G has the option of carrying over your MHP2 save file but it requires the Japanese version of it. It is possible to convert your current MHF2 US/EUR save to MHP2 JAP save though this niffy program called Laboko.

Basic Requirements Download: (Password: mwalexlee)
Megaupload Download
Mediafire Mirror

What you need:
- Laboko
- YOUR MHF2(EUR or US) save file
- ANY JAP MHP2 save file (I attached one from Gamefaqs)
- Before doing anything backup your saves! I shall not be responsible if you lose anything!
- WinRAR to extract the archives
(a simple google search can find it for you)

Steps:
- Extract Laboko into ms:\PSP\GAME directory
- Extract ULJM05156.rar to ms:\PSP\SAVEDATA (not required if you already have a JAP MHP2 save file
- Run Laboko for the first time and quit
- copy ULUS10266.lbc(US) or ULES00851.lbc(EUR) to ms:\Laboko\code depending on which MHF version you've got
- Run Laboko again
- Select Option 2 > Choose the US/EUR game save > Select Option 4 > OK!
- Connect USB using Option 3
- Rename ULUS10266.bin or ULES00851.bin to ULJM05156.bin in ms:\ root directory
- Select Option 2 > Choose the JPN game save > Select Option 5 > OK!
- Now you have a fully functional MHP2 Jap game save ready to carry over to MHP2G!
- Start MHP2G > Select New Game > Select Option 2 > All set & Done

I tried the file but it appeared as corupt data on my psp.
JG you might wanna advise on the versions which the file might be used in

it goes in game150 so you will need 150 kernal installed and changed in the recovery menu

no need oz already got his copy X_X\

I live in singapore thus it is actually in stores on the 28th where I nought my copy.

@J_G, chamging the kernel does not seem to make the program recognizeable to psp. but I heard a friend that can conver savegames. I'll get him to do it for me.

ima buy it some time soon =/ but from the word at game corner there sold out for now =[ so ill chill for now

it should should work but it be in jap and if it dont ill have o choice but firmware cuz buying a jap psp is to far but there psp's are cooler they have there psp's in like everycolor i could get a green or red ?

J_G, I'm in the process of converting my own save game. One hurdle I had was to install the kernel 1.50 for my psp 3.80 m33-5 in order for it to work loboko.

Can you provide the links for the file and clear directions for installing the kernel? I had downloaded from a few sources but none seemed to be recognized by my psp in xmb mode. I can see my loboko but as my kernel is not updated, I cannot run it.

and its pretty simple to install.you just download a 1.50 firmware file and rename it too 150.pbp put it on the very start of the memory stick then put the update folder for the kernal in GAME, and run it

then thats the kernal installed
