does kai work on PSP slim. Cos my dad got one (my PSP wireless is FUBAR). If so I will get it soon and play.

Ya, it does, but you need a wifi usb adapter for it to connect the AdHoc signal of your PSP to the PC and Kai.
I play MHDos on PS2 though, through infrastructure.

nice. Can you give me any tips on what to buy, i'm not promising but I would love to start playing online.

Either a Japanese PS2 or magic swap disc with sensor covers for modding the PS2. Then get ahold of a copy of MHDos, from Ebay or PlayAsia.com.
